I would like to know these information about the issue: How did you update the WiFi adapter drivers on the computer? Was it from the Dell website? The Dell website does not have the Windows 8 drivers for the Wifi Adapter. It only has the Windows XP and Vista drivers. So, it seems that the issue could be due to the incompatible drivers installed on the computer. I would suggest you to try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers in the Windows Vista Compatibility Mode and check if that resolves the issue. To do this, you may try the following steps and let’s know the result.
